Mixing FAQ
The practical questions before sending a rough mix, stems or multitracks.
What should I send?
Send it as it is: a rough mix, multitracks, reference tracks, and a short note about what you want the song to feel like.
Can you mix remotely?
Yes. Mixing can happen fully remotely through file delivery, references, written notes, listening links and agreed milestones. You do not need to be in Finland for the mix to move forward and be finished.
How long does a mix take?
The timeline depends on the song, track count, editing needs, feedback rounds and current booking situation. After reviewing the material, we reply with a realistic timeline before you commit.
How do revisions work?
You get two revisions by default. Consolidated feedback works best: listen in a few places, collect notes from the artist or band, then send one clear revision list for each round.
Do you need source files or stems?
Consolidated WAV multitracks from the same start point are usually safest. Source files or stems can also work when they fit the project. Using ZIP or RAR is recommended, but not necessary.
How much does mixing cost?
The budget range depends on the song, track count, editing needs, revision scope and deadline. Send the material first so the quote is realistic.
Mixing or mastering?
If balance, vocal placement, low end, punch or energy still feels unfinished, you probably need mixing before mastering. Free mastering is included with the mixing offer, so you do not need to book it separately for a song we mix. If the mix already feels finished and only needs final release polish, standalone mastering may be enough.
